ARCHIKART Software AG

ARCHIKART-Karthago

ARCHIKART Karthago displays the maps that have been generated by GIS and made available using a map server in a browser window or directly in the ARCHIKART modules. In this way, the user is provided with a uniform user interface in all ARCHIKART applications that is independent of the actually used Web map services.

Using ARCHIKART Karthago enables the flexible integration of GIS in all classic and browser-based ARCHIKART applications.

Customer: City of Fürth

The central Franconian city of Fürth with around 114,000 inhabitants is part of the metropolitan region of Nuremberg. This year the city looks back on 1,000 years of changeful history. In this respect, it once again becomes apparent how important a functioning GeoData infrastructure is. A few months ago the city administration decided to use ARCHIKART, the municipal real estate information and management system. The City of Fürth learned about ARCHIKART and its advantages through its inter-municipal cooperation with the employees of the GIS office of the City of Coburg. The Fürth concept of installing only a few training workplaces with software on location and integrating all others as information desks via an Intranet application was perfectly suited to ARCHIKART. In the meantime, selected workplaces have been installed with the ARCHIKART property management system, but also with the administration of purchase and sales, and with rental, lease and heritable building right contracts. An important aspect for Fürth was also the option of disseminating property information on the Intranet easily and comprehensively using ARCHIKART-Karthago. In contrast to many other providers, the City of Fürth can use various Web Map Services in ARCHIKART-Karthago, such as, in this case, the WMS service with the UMN map server as an OpenSource.
