Luxembourg state government places its trust throughout the state in Infopark CMS Fiona

Customer: Luxembourg State Government

The Luxembourg government is realising its Internet presences using Infopark CMS Fiona. The Internet presence "www.gouvernement.lu" was one of the websites put online as part of the "eLuxembourg" project. "gouvernement.lu" offers publications from the government and the administration on more than 5,000 pages, as well as a great deal of information about the country and its people. Furthermore, numerous eGovernment websites as well as additional information portals are to be implemented in the future. The aim of switching to Infopark CMS Fiona is the implementation of a corporate identity for the websites of the Grand Duchy, as well as the standardisation of the Internet technology in use. The Infopark solution offers the ideal prerequisites for this as a highly scalable system with excellent integration capability. "That means more efficiency, a valuable saving of time and a noticeable improvement in quality" according to Mil Jung, Director of the Press Office of the Luxembourg Government.

German Bundestag: Barrier-free provision of information on the Internet

Customer: German Bundestag

The initial creation of the website from project start to online availability took only six weeks. Since the website was first installed, various interactive features have been realised, for example, online orders, discussion fora, mailing lists, etc. In addition, an online reservation system for the Bundestag’s visitor service was created. The complete “new” Bundestag is already online on the morning after the elections, including biographies and photos of the Members of the Bundestag. At the end of 1999, the Bundestag website was awarded the Gordian Knot in gold, a prize from the Organisation of the Blind, for its particularly disabled-friendly design. The Internet presences das-parlament.de and derbevoelkerung.de were realised as part of individual projects for the Bundestag and transferred to the Infopark CMS of the Bundestag. In the process, more than 10,000 documents were migrated into the CMS. The German Bundestag is consistently successful on the Internet as it is always bang up to date and highly accessible. The use of the Infopark CMS for the maintenance of bundestag.de has been widely accepted, so that the implementation of the Content Management System was broadened extensively in 2003 and was also extended to the Intranet portal of the German Bundestag.
