Software architecture - "In harmony"

The wishes of IT users are decisive. The possible IT support is often anything but: obsolete processes become set in stone – without IT support, things would often go much quicker. But, does that have to be the case?

A simple idea can help: regard a task as a service. Let us make sure that we make use of a service when it serves us. And make sure it plays together with the other services – like an orchestra.

A lot of people talk about service-oriented architectures – use SOA for the most different interests. We help organisations on their way to service-oriented organisations – who SOA really helps.

Electronic provision of information from the register of residents

Customer: Land of North-Rhine Westphalia

In the d-NRW project, eitco developed the technical solution for the electronic provision of information from the register of residents. A central component of the service is a directory service that contains information about the responsibilities and requirements of individual registration offices. This meant that the North-Rhine Westphalian registration offices could link up to the eitco solution without having to centralise the databases. In the sense of a regional portal solution, the joint access for citizens and companies to the decentralised registration offices was formed in the municipalities and/or the computer centres.
