Logistics and material management in public authorities
The Police Central Office for Technology and Procurement of the Land Brandenburg (ZTB) is responsible for the central purchasing of material, and for its distribution and storage for the entire region. Condat has developed a logistics solution on the basis of SAP R/3® to meet these requirements. This solution covers the areas of materials planning, maintenance and budget management, whereby the cost and performance calculation is integrated. New interfaces link the system to the funds management and the cash system, meaning that changes in a subsystem are incorporated immediately into all other parts of the system.
The system users were allocated defined roles so that the lifecycle of all materials can be traced without interruption. This means that there are those who are responsible for material and maintenance, as well as purchasers and budget keepers. In the areas that are relevant with regards to security, this allocation of roles defines the respective access and admission rights. The logistics solution supports the entire value added chain of the materials used.
